You choose what you show
What protects your privacy on MatchiMatchy, explained simply.
Who can see your photos
Every photo is reviewed by moderation before it becomes visible. Until then, nobody sees it.
You can appear with your avatar rather than your photo. In Mystery mode, others first see your avatar, and your private photo is revealed with each new match. You can share or withdraw a private photo for each match, at any time.
Your profile’s visibility
Only members with a confirmed email address appear. For each universe, you choose whether your profile is visible: you can hide it without closing your account. What you answer in one universe is only used there.
Your location
Your location is used to suggest people nearby. It is rounded to about one kilometre, and no address is stored.
On the map, each position is also shifted by 250 to 500 metres and only the neighbourhood is shown. Distances are shown in 5 km steps. You can erase your location.
Report and block
From a profile or a conversation, you can block someone: they disappear from your suggestions, the conversation closes and any private photos you shared are withdrawn.
Reporting someone also blocks them, and the report is reviewed by moderation.
Delete your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. It is deactivated immediately, then permanently erased after 30 days, along with your photos and voice messages.
